UASAA is a student organization chapter of the national Society of American Archivists.  We are housed under the School of Information Resources and Library Science and the Faculty Adviser is a Librarian and Archivist of the UA Libraries Special Collections.  The students in UASAA are representative of  several departments at the UA including the School of Information Resources and Library Science, History, Political Science, Anthropology, Women’s Studies, and many others.  Each brings a unique perspective to the work and mission of the organization.

We work with local organizations to assist with archival and library projects; we work with professionals in the field to enhance and supplement our coursework; and we meet regularly to discuss the issues, processes and changes in the profession.  We invite you to become a member.  Membership includes updates and news via listserv, first option for opportunities to work on projects with archives and special collections, no cost attendance at UASAA events and more to come!
