7. Work in Progress
In 2006-7, I have taught, as a pilot, PHIL-MATH202, using a computer program of mine (written in Java to use JNLP Web launch or Java applets embedded in Web pages). The ensemble has the potential to be the technology to deliver platform neutral, revisable, intellectual content rights managed, educational software. This could be a central pattern for the future.
In my guise as ‘Associate Director of Virtual Learning’, I am giving detailed consideration, evaluation, and straight out configuration and programming, of Content Management Systems (usually php libraries front-ending onto databases). These are going to be the next generation for our Website, our community building software, and possibly also our virtual teaching delivery software. I have produce two ePortfolio systems, which the School now uses, and the School's website.
Finally I am continuing with my work on some general theories of networks and information science. I am revising the draft of a completed introductory book.
