Students should take IRLS 524 and/or IRLS 560 before IRLS 581. If a student elects to take IRLS 608, s/he should wait until the second half of the course work (after 18 credits).
Most school libraries look for an internship or experience in schools. Students who want to work in school libraries are strongly encouraged to do an internship in a school library.
