Jessica Hernandez, current SIRLS master's student and Knowledge River Scholar, has been awarded participation in the American Library Association's 2010 Class of Emerging Leaders.

Jessica will attend both the ALA Midwinter Meeting in Boston, January 2010 as well as the Annual Conference in Wash DC, Summer of 2010.

The program is designed to enable about 100 library workers to learn about professional leadership.  Participants are given the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, network with peers and get an inside look into the ALA structure and activities.
